I am very fortunate that where I live I can walk to the Chinese markets and buy fresh vegetables and fruit for the evening’s dinner and desert.

It’s always fun to go the markets and watch and see all different cultures come to buy their groceries and actually it’s a humbling experience.

I have in my years of cooking have learned a lot just by visiting these small vegetable markets and am amazed with the different varieties of local and ethnic produce they carry.

I usually engage the clerks or anybody who is serving at the store and ask them what compliments what dish like which veggie would go with seafood or meat or just on its own. I am amazed by the knowledge of the clerks and usually they are very correct.

Today I fancied some nice stir fry Chinese cabbage to go with my BBQ duck and BBQ pork. Yummy isn’t it? I love Asian food and this is such a nice treat, so come and enjoy a little little bit of Asia with yours truly :)
