Mains: 3 lbs of sirloin steak and rib steaks mixed together bone in.Quarter of an onion, medium sized garlic,4 cloves of garlic ,hot garam masala, pinch of turmeric powder, salt to taste,2 fresh chilli peppers with seed in, tablespoon of vegetable oil,5 stems of cilantro, I large potato and 2 cups of water.
Preparation: Since the beef steaks are all cubed just trim the excess fat and wash put in bowl. Grate ginger and garlic very finely. Chop the anions into very small cubes. Add to the garlic and ginger and put aside
Slice the chilli peppers into quarts and add to the onion, garlic and ginger. Take the leaves of the cilantro stems and wash them and chop very finely.Take the garam masala, salt, turmeric powder and mix together. Peel the potatoes and cut in quarters and place in bowl of cold water.
Cooking: On medium high heat in a medium sized pot add oil and heat. Once oil is nice and hot you guessed yes add all the nice grated ginger, garlic, onion and chilli together and sauté.
As soon as you see the ingredients all turning to a golden brown colour it’s time to add potatoes.
Potatoes take longer to cook so it goes in first .Add the garam masala, turmeric and salt to it.
Stir all the ingredients and potato together, nice and happy happy. Add one cup water close lid and let it cook for 5 minutes
Now add the beef, stir well and turn heat low and simmer for 10 minutes. Add the other cup of water now and simmer for another 10 minutes.
Beef is so tender to begin with now at this point in time it is literally going to melt in your mouth once you chow on it.Not yet hold on LOL.
